Usually I’m behind the camera, photographing fetish parties, models, or scenes… it’s where I feel most comfortable and at home. However, recently I was asked by PunishedBrats.com to appear as a guest spanker, and found myself in front of the lens with three cute but naughty girls in need of some discipline!
It was a great honor for me to assist in their shoot, and I really had a great time spanking such lovely behinds. I shot four scenes with three different bratty girls. My first scene was with Pixie, a spanking aficionado who I discovered had an ass that turned out to almost be tougher than my hand. I nearly called the safe-word because my hand was hurting so much… I have to work on toughening up my palm if I’m going to spank her again!
Bratty Lavender was my second spankee… for this scene I used a leather paddle/strap which saved my hand a little and gave her a rather sore butt after 5 minutes of some pretty hard spanking. She was a bit of a moaner too, which made the shoot even more fun. Finally, my last spanking was with newcomer Lorraine. She had only been spanked a little in her personal life, so after 4 spankings she could barely sit the next day! This year I was honored to photograph at the German Fetish Ball weekend in Berlin. I have visited Berlin before, but I never had the chance to see any of the fetish world. My visit was for the 
Finally, however, Dominique, the hostess of the evening’s event, came out with two lovely ladies and they began a performance that was exciting and different than most anything that I have seen in the States. Performances in the U.S. are very different than those that I see in the EU. In the U.S. there can be no uncovered nipples or genitals, and certainly there can be no actual sexual activities. Well, if you have not yet been to a non-U.S. party, please be aware that those rules go right out the window! Most of the performance was so graphic that the photos I took will never see the light of day. You see, certain acts are not permitted on U.S. web sites, even if they occur ex-U.S.

My second day in Berlin sent me over to the German Fetish Fair. The venue showcased some of the most popular fetish vendors. There was a lot of latex, as one would expect. It seems that hats are the most sought-after accessory and there were many booths that showcased them. I saw several familiar faces and met lots of new friends. Luckily, it seemed that many folks spoke better English than I speak German, so I was able to communicate my desire to take photos to lots of folks. Of course, waving my camera in their general direction is another way to let them know I want to take a picture. Most were willing to allow me to photograph them, unlike the previous evening.
I ran into Rubberdoll, who was doing a little shopping. Also, I took a few photos of super sexy fetish model (and contortionist!) Zlata blowing up a balloon. I then snapped a few photos of Aurora on a lime green cherry picker. Because of the miserable exchange rate of the U.S. dollar to the Euro, I made only one small purchase: a black plastic mask. Knowing that I had to photograph the Revolution party later that night, I left around 5:00 to go back to my hotel and rest just a little before meeting up with Belgium Marc and two of his friends for dinner.
After a tasty Italian dinner, I headed back to the hotel to get dressed for the party. It was held at the Kit Kat Club. There was a pool and a deck outside, but very few people braved the chilly water. A few brave souls who did jump in, though! I was glad for the outdoor respite from the hot and smoke-filled indoor areas. This evening, more people were willing to let me photograph them, so I was happy and felt that I had a purpose in attending. The venue had several different rooms, so there was always something to see. There were several different performances, but I know that I missed at least some of them. There was a burlesque dancer doing a seductive striptease, a sexy gal putting a grinder to her crotch to give off a fountain of sparks, and a hot redhead smoking a cigarette and then spitting fire. In another room, Amrita did a suspension of a pretty brunette girl (I think her name is Eden) before briefly using her as a swing. I heard that this was Eden’s very first suspension, but it looked as if she was enjoying herself quite a lot! As usual, I saw some familiar faces, and I was glad to see them because they love having their photos taken! Additionally, I met some nice new folks who also allowed me to photograph them, the couple from Breathless (http://www.breathless.uk.com). I would also like to thank a very friendly group of latex-wearing Swedes who also humored me and allowed me to photograph them.
The Fetish Ball was on Sunday night at Matrix, a club with beautiful arched brick ceilings and no less than five different rooms, each featuring different music. I came to the German Fetish Ball to photograph the fashion shows, but part of the fun of photographing an event is to photograph the attendees. Sadly, however, I had little luck obtaining photos of most of the people there. Many people refused to let me take their photos, even some who were completely encased in latex! (Again, many thanks to the Swedes and the others in the crowd who permitted me to snap their photos!!)
The fashion show lineup was impressive and the festivities were kept moving along by Mistress of Ceremonies Rubberdoll. The shows were non-stop for what I believe to be a solid two hours! Featured designers included Bondinage, Libidex, Burlesque Couture, Provoqué, Tatjana Warnecke, Favor, and Torture Garden. The European Fetish Awards were hosted by Luci van Org, where designer Atsuko Kudo was honored. Also, rather unexpectedly, Beyoncé Knowles (yes, the one from Destiny’s Child!!) even received an award. Unfortunately, she was not in attendance; however, I assume that the award is now safely on its way to her. Rubberdoll did double-duty as both hostess of the evening’s events as well as a performer. FAQ vs. Rubberdoll ended the fashion show festivities with an exciting performance that had music, strap ons, latex, a wheelchair, confetti guns, and a giant whipped cream-spewing red cock. What else could you ask for, people?? The music in each room was different, so you could either chill out or get your groove on, depending on exactly what your mood was.
Easter, named for the goddess Eostre (the Saxon pagan goddess of fertility) could not have been a more appropriate date for what had been described to me as one of last year’s best fetish parties in the world. The Essen Fetish Evolution Weekend, held in Essen, Germany, was four days of fetish celebration with some of the kinkiest and best (latex and leather) dressed people from around the world. The guest list included top names in the Fetish industry, models, photographers, clothing designers like HW-Design and DeMask, publications such as Marquis and Massad, and hundreds of international lifestyle fetishists. 
Imagine four full days of living a fetish lifestyle and surrounded by hundreds of like-minded people. This was easy to do in Essen, as it seemed as though nearly everybody stayed at the host hotel, the Hotel Bredeney. It was common to see latex-wearing people roaming the halls or having a bite in the restaurant 24 hours a day. Making the hotel even more ideal was the decision to host the two-day fetish and art exhibition on the same premises. What better way to start the morning than a good German breakfast while wearing your latex and high heels, followed by a stroll down to the Expo to buy a new flogger, and then a visit to two separate fetish art and photography exhibitions. Then, after a morning and afternoon of shopping and people watching, the real parties began!
Saturday was the first day of the Expo and Art Exhibition. It was a nice size venue for the crowd, and more intimate than some of the larger expos we’ve visited recently, including the 
Following the show, we took the opportunity to photograph some of the guests and models who attended the party, such as Emily Marilyn, Ruby Luster, Darenzia, Toxica, SadEast, and Marie Kalista. The second performance of the night was a half-suspension of Anastasia Pierce by Amrita. While bound in her transparent latex, Anastasia was taunted, tweaked, and even had her tongue twisted with a pair of Asian Mistress Amrita’s wooden chopsticks. The final performance of the night was a latex polishing scene with fetish model Rubberstar and her friend Alexander Buffalo, along with her rubberdoll Sissidoll in a shiny blow-up fantasy.
Sunday night was the Nuit Bizarre dinner and after party. Held in the Fabbrica Italiana, a gorgeous venue with an industrial ambiance, this party was one of the best fetish dinners I’ve been to. The atmosphere was seductive, the dinner was superb (my filet was perfectly prepared), and the shows were sexy and timed between each course to keep the evening going at a nice relaxed pace. The talented showman Paul Nathan was emcee for the night, along with beautiful fetish model and performer, Darenzia. Situated in the center of the room was a raised stage that was surrounded by tables of guests all wearing beautiful and elegant fetish clothing. The night started with a playful bath with fetish goddess Jean Bardot wearing a black latex cat suit, hood, and gloves. One well-prepared diner even offered her a yellow rubber ducky which Jean gleefully played with (along with a black rubber dildo). 
Following Mistress Jean’s tub show, Anastasia Pierce followed with a different sort of bubble bath. She seductively drenched herself in a shower of pink champagne as she stripped of her latex dress to the delight of the audience. Darenzia gave us a treat as she engaged in some sexy strap-on play with her submissive Ruby Luster while wearing a ring mistress-inspired latex suit. The final performance was a beautiful double suspension of the lovely nude Emily Marilyn and Ruby Luster. After the show, there was a play party on the lower floor, but the crowd thinned out rather early and we called it a night.
After another late night, the final day’s all-day brunch was a welcome treat. We knew that the last night’s party would be even later and with a very early morning flight to consider, we wanted to eat well and take some time to relax before the ultimate party of the weekend. The party was held in one of the largest venues we’ve been to, the mudiaART which we have been told used to be a foundry. This gorgeous venue had an industrial ambiance that included a cathedral-like main area and many smaller rooms and catacombs. From a photographer’s perspective there were a lot of amazing backgrounds and interesting settings to shoot all of the sexy models and guests.
Many of the world’s premier latex designers and houses of fetishy fashion-forward attire presented their newest designs to a well-dressed crowd. The night kicked off with DeMask, offering an eclectic array of styles that all had the distinct and timeless DeMask feel. In the second slot was a new designer who we first encountered in London, Heather of Overt Clothing. Her 1950s inspired latex collection was a hit in her first major runway show. HW-Design blew the crowd away with their all-star fetish model lineup including Jean Bardot, Anastasia Pierce, Kumi Monster, Darenzia, Bianca Beauchamp, Mistress Amrita, and Emma Lee. The collection included an array of pink, black, and translucent leopard latex fashion. To bring the first half of the fashion show to an end, the Brigitte More collection was showcased. Half the models wore black, the other half wore white, and in a change of pace this collection did not include latex. This elaborate production included hot girls in ball-cages, a sexy goddess on a swing, and lots of lace and flower details on the wardrobe. 
After a short break, the second half of the fashion show began with the Fetish Universe collection. A smorgasbord of color and design, this designer seemed to have a little something for everyone. Following was Maria Sander with her retro-inspired pin-up creations in colorful latex. Next was Bondinage, with a smaller array of designs. The blue and white latex-encased models played with balloons and were chased around the stage by a balloon popper. The final fashion show was an extravagant production by Tolllkirsche. Complete with a lovely Fay Wray-esque blonde beauty leading enormous fly-like leashed creatures onto the stage one at a time. The futuristic designs featured waist cinchers and elaborate hats and head-pieces. The hats were designed by Les Incroyables.
The party lasted well into the morning hours, but alas we had a flight back early the next day so were not able to stay until the end. There are over 300 photos in the 
Our last trip to San Francisco was a few years ago, and we were eager to return. To our delight, FetishMovies.com sponsored the 2008 San Francisco Fetish Ball weekend and our trip to cover this three-day event. Thursday night was the gallery show, which featured fetish artist, Michael Hussar. We arrived late Thursday night, so Michael made the trip to catch the gallery show. According to him, the party had a great, casual vibe and offered a rare opportunity to see these awesome, original works of art up close. In addition to Michael Hussar’s paintings, prints from some of the best known fetish photographers were displayed, including Lithium Picnic’s Philip Warner. An auction was held at the end of the night to benefit Philip’s ongoing legal battle with Suicide Girls.
Friday night’s event, Club Enslaved, was more of a party atmosphere than the previous night’s gallery show. Club Whisper was the venue, and we were pleasantly surprised when we remembered the no smoking law. There were three main rooms, two of which were indoors. The third area was an outdoor dungeon where people could play and smoke. Almost immediately, an eager female succumbed to the wiles of a rope wielding artist. Before long, the lovely brunette was suspended spread-eagle in a web of pink and teal rope. When she was fully bound and suspended, he administered a good, sound flogging. The crowd seemed appreciative of his creative rope work, and his pretty submissive also seemed pleased. There was a lot to see outside, but we wanted to be sure to catch Midori and Kumi’s “Elements of Suffering†performance.
To quote Midori about this intense performance art, “Aesthetics of endurance is a pervasive element for the Japanese, even for those scattered across the globe, having decided to be the nails that stick out, thus stepping out. To endure, or “gaman”, is a suffering that is distinct from suffering often expressed in the West, as one sees represented on ecclesiastical art. There is no blessings, heaven or martyrdom – The payoff is in the suffering endured in itself. The beauty and power of endurance is to be admired in itself, as part of fulfillment of one’s place and identity.†We couldn’t have said it any better ourselves. Now, if you’re wondering exactly what goes on during this performance, a picture is worth a thousand words. In a nutshell, though, the performance encompassed three elements: earth, water, and fire. Michael was able to secure a spot at the front of the crowd, where Midori and Kumi were floor level, limiting the ability of a large crowd to enjoy the performance. People were standing 6 rows deep and standing on benches to try to catch a glimpse. At the conclusion of Midori and Kumi’s performance, Michael ran upstairs to catch JD of the Two Knotty Boys as he suspended bondage model Sabrina Fox in an angelic performance. JD is one of the more artistic riggers, and he takes great care in the meticulous design and execution of his rope work. Once fully bound, Sabrina was adorned with feathery white angel wings. JD swung her out over the audience before removing the wings and allowing his angel the freedom to flip and twist her body as she struggled against the tension of the ropes. Michael took a few more photos before we went outside and shared a cab with two friendly crossdressers.
Saturday was a busy day filled with photo editing (and a nap). The Regency Grand Ballroom was the venue for the main event, the Fetish Ball. We arrived early, and were excited to see that this building had a lot of character. Built in 1909, it was an example of Scottish Rite architecture that fit perfectly with the theme of the evening, Metropolis, the 1927 silent science-fiction film created by famed Austrian-German director, Fritz Lang. Before the performances began, Michael photographed the well dressed crowd. Many guests donned their best fetish gear, but some costumes were more elaborate than others. One lovely latex-clad lady came complete with her own pony boy-driven cart. The pony obediently pranced to the music and was at his lady’s beck and call. On the subject of animals, we even spied a red and white latex zebra in the crowd. One of our Sybian girls even made an appearance. Kandi Cox, now a brunette, wore an inflatable red latex ball gown which struggled to contain her trademark enormous breasts. 
Hostess for the evening was Sister Roma, a well-known social rights activist who has lent her hand to the war on HIV and AIDS. German design house BODYCULT began the evening showcasing their latex creations; however, this was not the typical runway show. The models tantalized and tangoed to the delight of the crowd. Syren fashions were highlighted in a fantastic performance featuring a ten-foot tall latex wearing vamp. Latex-hooded models emerged onto the stage, each wearing a collar and leash. From stage left a towering female teetered out onto the stage. Her minions worshipped at her feet before removing her skirt to reveal that she was perched atop a seat that was harnessed to a male slave’s shoulders. The goddess was lowered to the stage before being carried off by her loyal subjects.
Antiseptic Fashions had no trouble following the elaborate performance of Syren. Antiseptic features custom leather corsets, and these particular corsets had a futuristic twist to them. Madame S also had an elaborate stage show atypical from most fashion shows. Following the Metropolis theme, many of the models wore metallic latex as they marched around the stage. After a brief lull, the fashion show concluded with Pretty Pervy, the London based crew famous for inflatable and colorful creations seemingly inspired by aliens and the insect kingdom. Our friend Dante Posh was neither an alien nor an insect. She was a walking vagina. We’re not kidding.
Friday night’s Fade to Black party was the official meet and greet kickoff, and was held in a very cool club called Bordello. This lush 1940’s style club was ideal for a more intimate evening, with its thick velvet curtains, antique love seats, and ornate gilded stage. It has a great vibe, and my personal favorite night of the weekend.
Also performing was Fetish/bondage model Eden Wells who enclosed herself inside a seven-foot diameter, air tight, plastic ball while dressed in sexy latex stockings, gloves, and wearing a squirting latex dildo. As her air supply dwindled, she entertained the crowd with her seductive movements and masturbatory fantasy, splattering the inside of the ball in her auto-erotic asphyxiation.
One of the more exciting performances of the night was a wild west suspension by LA bondage icon Mykal Binds. Beautiful wild horse rope bottom, Vee Venom, pranced onto the stage in full pony gear complete with a large leather saddle. With his vigorous, energetic rope work, Mykal suspended the pretty pony in her saddle and proceeded to mount and ride her while the crowd cheered. 
The winner of the Male Performer of the Year was Tommy Gunn. He’s a stand-up guy who actually took the time to seek us out at the Hotmovies.com booth so that we could interview him. It took a few tries, but eventually he caught up with us and we had an excellent chat. It was fun talking with Tommy Gunn because he really loves his job and he has a healthy outlook on life and on the industry. In addition to the Male Performer of the Year award, Tommy Gunn was part of a group of actors who took the award for Best Oral Sex Scene – Film for FUCK from Wicked Pictures. The winners of this award, in addition to Tommy Gunn, were Ice LaFox, Eric Masterson, Marcos London, and Mario Rossi. 
the Underrated Starlet of the Year (Unrecognized Excellence) award at this year’s AVN show. She’s terribly sexy and she seems to have a great sense of humor, and it is great to see that she has been recognized for her efforts. Isn’t it a little odd to gain recognition for being “unrecognized†in the industry? Maybe they need to change the name of that award… but I digress. Another smoking hot award winner was Katsumi. She won awards for Female Foreign Performer of the Year and for Best Supporting Actress – Video (for Fashionistas Safado: The Challenge), and this was no surprise to either of us. Interviewing Katsumi is always a pleasure and she loves what she does for a living. Watching her movies, it is easy to see why Katsumi won these awards. Incidentally, for those of you who are wondering about the male talent, Jean Val Jean was given the AVN Award for Male Foreign Performer of the Year. Jean’s performances never, ever disappoint! 
Both Female Performer of the Year and Best Actress – Video (for Corruption ) were Hilary’s for the taking, and she beat out a field of highly talented and delicious ladies (Missy Monroe and Belladonna are just two of them). I spoke with Hilary at the AEE and she was terribly excited to be nominated. I imagine that she is flying high right now, basking in her wins. Another exciting win was for Most Outrageous Sex Scene ( Girlvert 11 from JM Productions), which went to Ashley Blue, Amber Wild, and Steve French. Though I have not yet seen this particular video, Ashley took the time to tell me all about the “Meat is Murder†scenario. We were hopeful that we might get the chance to speak with Jenna, but things didn’t quite work out for us; however, while we were waiting for Jenna to show at the Club Jenna booth, we gained access to some of the hottest leading ladies in porn, the incomparable Club Jenna girls. Buxom blonde Sophia Rossi, innocent-looking Brea Bennett, hot Londoner Roxy Jezel (We love, love, love her British accent!!), blonde bombshell Ashton Moore, and steaming hot brunette Chanel St. James were all kind enough to take some time to talk to me about their newest movies, their favorite non-porn activities, and how much they love their lives as Club Jenna girls. The Club Jenna girls are all first-rate and as classy (and as sexy) as they come! While we were unable to interview Jenna Jameson, we have no complaints at all about the rest of the uber-hotties at Club Jenna. The Best Overall Marketing Campaign – Company Image Award also went to Club Jenna. Jenna Jameson and her empire simply cannot be stopped – and we couldn’t be happier about it! 
We also spoke with Kelly Payne, and we were excited to see that she was awarded an AVN for Best Specialty Release – Spanking for her Baltimore Brat movie. This sassy New York lady loves to spank both boys and girls, and you should know that she always gets off in her movies! If she doesn’t get off, then you wont see the movie! Michael and I started out in the industry doing FemDom and BDSM videos, so we are happy to see that the fetish community is finally getting recognition in the adult industry. 
The parade of porn stars and celebrities included Gene Simmons, Chriss Angel, Dave Navarro, and even Dustin Diamond (AKA Screech from "Saved by the Bell"). I recognized many of the ladies who I’ve had the pleasure of having on my Sybian, including: Missy Monroe, Kat, Emilianna, Mika Tan, Gianna Lynn, and Gwen Diamond, just to name a few.
The highlight of the evening was a 5-minute performance that was staged by John Stagliano of Fashionistas Safado, complete with high-flying aerialists. Buck Cherry closed the evening with a performance of "Crazy Bitch." The most poignant moment of the evening came when a teary-eyed Larry Flynt, founder of Hustler magazine, was greeted with a standing ovation for his encouragement to keep fighting for our first amendment rights.
